Australia - helping out

There are plenty of ways to help those affected by the bush fires in Victoria but we're quilters right? So lets make some blocks.

Jan Mac is a HeartStrings member who will be collecting quilt as you go string blocks for assembling and donating. She's posted a tutorial on her site if you'd like to help her out and send some blocks.

I've got strings -- I've got batting leftovers -- I'm going to make some to send.

You can contact Jan Mac at janmac@mcmedia.com.au

Oops! I didn't realize that I left an incomplete comment above! I would just like to add that there are many quilt blogs talking about so many places to donate for Australia right now, from my post above...to Heartstrings, to blocks of any kind, to hexagons for the sewers who lost all their supplies, to liberated blocks...the list goes on and on. But I just spent several hours in the middle of the night reading Jan Mac's blog and I have to tell you that is one very special lady. She seems to spend her life helping the less fortunate and I do think that is where the heart of quilting lies. I read over Jan's 'quilt as you go' technique for string blocks and it's a fabulous way for all of us to learn or to just practice the QAYG technique and still do good and send blocks or quilt tops to Australia. Do check out her post on it!

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (ultimatelifeclinic. com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
